The folks at Pingdom have put together a collection of brilliant 404 pages. They’ve also included their own commentary on why these particular 17 pages made the list. If you’ve ever run into a “page not found” message, take a look at some of these beauties. It definitely makes it more fun to stumble on missing pages, that’s for sure.
Check out the collection for yourself and add others that you know of in the comments below.

CNET reviews the Samsung T819 and writes, “The SGH-T819’s 1.3-megapixel camera takes pictures in five resolutions, from 1,820×1,024 down to 240×180. Other camera features include five quality settings; brightness and white balance controls; a night mode; exposure meeting; 20 fun frames; a self-timer, and three color effects. There’s also a digital zoom (though it’s unusable at the highest resolution) and three shutter sounds, plus a silent option. The camcorder records clips in two resolutions (176×144 and 128×96) with sound and a number of editing options; clips meant for multimedia messages are capped at about 40 seconds, or you can shoot for as long as the available memory will permit. The SLM offers 30MB of shared internal memory. That’s below average for a multimedia phone, so a microSD card is recommended. Photo quality was middling; images were relatively blurry, but the colors were bright.”

According to a certain source which I cannot verify, many accidents are caused by a driver being distracted by their GPS device. I guess that makes sense, considering where we usually put them. I guess drivers are looking so hard at where they are supposed to be going that they aren’t looking at where they are going.
So why not put what you need on your sunglasses? This is the premise of the Rickshaw GPS sunglasses, which have a tiny video LCD with pure audio feeds. All maps are supplied on MicroSD cards, so you have complete navigation without every having to look at a separate screen.
Personally, I am not certain whether this is a real product at all. This is April Fool’s Day, after all. Not only that, my source for this has a link to the Product Page, and when you go to this link, it cannot seem to find the product. How weird.
Stylistically, this product is a cross between the coolness of the Wayfair sunglasses, with the techno look of something out of Blade Runner. Perhaps it is a little too geeky for some. Well, if they are true, they are available for a one day special for $125.00.

BenQ just released more information on its T60 cell phone that manages to cram in a 2.2″ LCD display at 320 x 240 resolution and a 3.2 megapixel camera into a body that measures just 8.9mm thin. BenQ aims for the T60 to be a fashion handset, which makes perfect sense for its software to include a caller black list function - after all, you can’t be seen hanging out with sore losers in the eyes of society whenever you go out, right? Other features include :-
- Integrated FM radio tuner
- 24MB internal memory
- microSD memory card slot
- Support for common audio and video file formats
- Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity
The battery life is very disappointing though, as you get the maximum of 2.5 hours of talk time, while standby time has been rated at 200 hours. Pricing details are still unknown.

Right on cue, Nokia’s WiMAX-enabled N810 Internet Tablet has surfaced at CTIA 2008, and yep, this critter is destined to go on sale here in the US of A this summer. Beyond that, you’ll notice the familiar 4.13-inch touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard and even a built-in webcam for video calls, Mozilla-powered browser, integrated GPS / media player, 2GB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot. Heck, Nokia even touts this thing’s ability to “access the Internet over WiFi or via conventional cellular data networks by pairing to a compatible mobile phone via Bluetooth technology.” Also announced today is the freshly updated OS2008, which includes an enhanced e-mail client, support for Chinese character rendering in the browser and RSS feeds and “Seamless Software Update functionality” to boot. Needless to say, said OS will come standard on the currently unpriced Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition — which is scheduled to land wherever WiMAX connectivity is available — but existing N810 / N800 owners will also get the OS upgrade free of charge in Q2.

After yesterday’s very real and not-at-all-fake story about Deutsche Telekom demanding Engadget discontinue using the color magenta, and today being what it is, we’re putting up some new wallpaper on all the Engadget sites and ever so slightly tweaking Engadget Mobile’s logo. We hope you approve!
P.S. -In a related side note, our old pals at Phone Scoop pinged us earlier this morning to let us know they’ve gone magenta for the day in an act of solidarity! Much love, Phone Scoop! Oh, and now so did Phone Arena!

Epson has released a new notebook that is scheduled for a release in late April. The Epson Endeavor NA801 runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor and offers up a Geforce 8600M GT with 256 of VRAM in terms of graphics power. It also features a 13.3-inch display, HDMI output, Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0. Its also nice to see that power doesn’t have to weigh a ton, the NA801 weighs in at just over 4-pounds.
The Japanese Epson website confirms that the NA801 will retail for around $1000 when it is released, sadly this will be available only in Japan.

It’s no big secret that Sony is gearing up to redesign the playstation Store for users in Europe and the US, but with just days to go until the hard hats are donned, we figured it prudent to pass along the latest tidbits surrounding the change. Apparently the refacing will start on April 3rd and finish up in around a fortnight, but until the job is finished, “no additional downloadable content will be posted.” Of course, existing content will remain available, and chances are you’ll appreciate the updates when all is said and done, but we know how tough it’ll be to not log on weekly and eagerly sniff for all new material. Hit up the via for lots of pictures — we’re told it’ll help the sting.
